Welcome to this site celebrating all things ‘mint’ in and about Newcastle. It’s told from the perspective of a new ‘hinny’ in town, who has quickly learned that this city is much more than just a place for partying. Not only is it one of the friendliest places on earth, it also has culture galore – from numerous theatres, to prestigious art galleries and a vibrant music scene – plus an ever growing gastronomic scene; iconic architecture (including those famous bridges); and oodles of industrial heritage. The city may be compact but it’s big on charm and entertainment.
